Course Description

Together with our Training Partner Safety Services Manitoba this course is designed for Emergency Response Team (ERT) members or someone who wants to become part of an ERT. Must be experienced in a confined space environment. This course will benefit employees working in confined spaces or supervisors, safety officers, and managers who put their employees in a confined space work environment. The Employer, by law, shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to confined spaces (see CSA Standard Z1006-10 & WSHD regulation 15).

Complimented with written and practical skill assessments throughout the course to ensure thorough understanding of principles and practices, the 16 hour Confined Space Rescue course will allow the students to conduct a numerous mock confined space rescue situations using our confined space simulator. Throughout the 2 days of training, each student will utilize a number of different rescue equipment methods and will gain a thorough understanding of each.

In addition to confined space rescue, entry procedures and hazards, this course will discuss the need for appropriate personal protective equipment and the selection characteristics and pre-entrance testing for each level of protection. Documentation will be provided to the student to satisfy due diligence and local regulation compliance. This course meets the criteria for accepted practices in OH&S training (CAN/CSA Z 1006-10), the highest standard in the industry.
